Got some leftover brown rice from yesterday? If so, you have a quick and easy-to-prepare breakfast! No plant-milk on hand? No problem, all you need is a blender for this milk, no need to strain afterwards.
For the milk, either go here for the Hemp Milk recipe and add a Brazil nut or two, or if you want to make just a small amount for breakfast, this makes about a cup:
¼ cup hulled hemp seeds (hemp hearts)
1 Brazil nut
½ Medjool date, pitted
1 cup filtered water
Blend until smooth and creamy. That’s it.
In a bowl put together:
½ cup brown rice (cold from the fridge or just made, both work well)
1 apple, sliced & chopped
½ Medjool date (the other half goes in your hemp & brazil nut milk)
some dried coconut shavings
1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
a few fresh berries
1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon flax seeds
Now pour 1 cup (or as much as you need) of the hemp & Brazil nut milk over the top. And enjoy!
