Most of the time we know what is 'health promoting' and what is not, yet sometimes we need a little help when making lifestyle changes, whether big or small. Changes don't happen overnight, they take time and effort and the more help you have, the better.
Motivation and accountability also play important roles in our success and being part of a group of like-minded people, (even if this group consists of only you and one other person) is fundamental. You are not alone. At the end of the day though, we need to make changes for OURSELVES, because ultimately, we are the ones who are on this wonderful journey.
Little things, such as listening to an audio book, watching a documentary or even sharing your daily steps on a walking or running app can all be helpful in beginning these lifestyle changes and maintaining them. So here I have listed some books and films that I have found useful for both myself and others. Personally, I love audio books, as I can listen to them while on a power walk, doing grocery shopping or preparing food. And they don't weigh anything when travelling. :)
